VAN BUREN, Ohio — Six members of a Bloomdale, Ohio, area family — two adults and four children — were injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Hancock County’s Allen Township, sheriff’‍s deputies said.

Jerica Henry, 19, was southbound on Township Road 229 north of State Rt. 613 about 11:25 a.m. when her car drifted off the right side of the road, deputies said. She steered to the left and drove off the left side of the road into a deep drainage ditch, and struck an embankment.

Her passengers were Deanne Thomas, 47; Jaurie Henry, 14, Jobe Henry, 11, Max Thomas, 8, and Kaylee Thomas, 7.

All required medical treatment, deputies said. Four people were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, and two of the children were taken by medical helicopter to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. The Thomas youths and Jobe Henry were listed in fair condition late Saturday. Jaurie Henry was still being evaluated in the emergency room, a hospital spokesman said.

Other conditions were not available.

The accident is under investigation, Sgt. Matt Kinsinger said in a statement.

Allen Township is about 40 miles south of Toledo.
