Dajuan Willingham, 25, of 438 Southgate Circle, is charged with two counts each of aggravated robbery and felonious assault. He was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court.

Police are looking for Leroy Alcorn, 24, of 709 Prouty Ave. He is described in court documents as black, 150 pounds, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair. Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.

In court documents, police allege that the suspects went into Cigarette Outlet, 2620 Airport Hwy., on June 1 and robbed the store and assaulted the clerk. The clerk was struck several times with a handgun. Police also allege that, on June 10, the suspects was one of two masked, armed men who went into Stop & Go, 1409 Western Ave., to rob the store. The hold up was thwarted when one of the suspects and a store clerk exchanged gunfire. No one was injured.

There have been 17 carryout robberies in Toledo since May 5, the Stop & Go on June 10 being the most recent. Of the 17 robberies, 10 were committed by two men who were masked and armed. The series of robberies, most of them in South Toledo, seemed to have escalating levels of violence, with several clerks being assaulted.

Police said the suspects were identified by a witness; it was not clear if they would be linked to the other carryout robberies.

Mr. Willingham is due in court again on June 26.
