A Monroe Township stabbing suspect is being held in the Monroe County jail.

The suspect, Javion Olive, 24, turned himself in to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, officials said. He is charged with “assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder” but has not been arraigned.

Deputies allege that the suspect stabbed a 22-year-old LaSalle Township man at about 11 p.m. Sunday. The man is still recovering at a local hospital, deputies said. A woman also suffered minor injuries when trying to stop the suspect.

Officials ask that anyone with additional information call 734-240-7530.
