Minutes after opening Friday, a West Toledo PNC bank branch was robbed.

Police said a man went into the bank at 5826 Lewis Ave. about 9 a.m. and demanded cash from the tellers. The employees complied and the suspect, who did not appear to be armed, fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officials believe the suspect might have gotten into a silver or gray Dodge Dakota or Dodge Ram with an extended cab.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man in his early 50s, about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6-feet tall. He weighs between 175 and 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, dark blue or green zip-up windbreaker, blue jeans, sunglasses, and white or gray gloves.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111 or the FBI at 419-243-6122.
