Mother of suspect, accused of assaulting an officer, held on $50K bond

    Three Toledo men accused of murder were arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court. All three were ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of bond.

    Appearing before Judge C. Allen McConnell were:

    • Scott Warnka, 30, of 2907 117th St., charged with murder; his bond was set at $1 million.

    • Roy Cerveny, 30, of 3224 138th St., charged with murder; his bond is $1 million.

    • John Haugh, 38, of 5048 Tappan Ave., charged with murder and aggravated murder; his bond was set at $2 million.

    The three are accused of various roles in the May 23 stabbing death of Thomas Przybysz, 30. The victim was stabbed outside of his Point Place home in the 4600 block of 283rd St. after returning home from work.

    Police allege that the stabbing was organized and solicited. Police have not commented on a possible motive.

    Also in court was Haugh's mother, Charlotte Lindsley, 61, of the Tappan address. She is accused of assaulting police Sgt. Kevin Korsog when the sergeant attempted to arrest Haugh.

    Ms. Lindsley is to remain in the jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

    Family and friends declined to comment after the arraignments.
