Delivery driver assaulted, robbed of money, food

An Oasis driver was robbed of the pizza he was to deliver early today, police said.

The delivery driver, Tyler Stamitoles, was making a delivery to 527 Foredale Ave., in South Toledo, at 4:45 a.m. when he was grabbed from behind and assaulted, police said. An unspecified number of suspects fled with his money, wallet, and food bag.

The robbery is the second of a delivery driver in as many days. On Thursday, a driver for Vito‘s car was taken by an armed suspect in the 600 block of Congress Street.
