Bond was set at $100,000 today for each of three Toledo men accused of being involved in a robbery Sunday night in which the victim was shot in the leg.
James Norwood, 24, of 3745 Erie St., Antoine Parks, 25, of 1525 Palmwood Ave., and Justin Shelton, 24, of 3909 Lockwood Ave. were arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on single counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the shooting of David Jones, according to court records. The victim’s age and condition were not released.
Each suspect was ordered held in lieu of bond at the Lucas County jail pending preliminary hearing July 8, without no option to post 10 percent of bond in cash.
Mr. Jones was shot about 8:55 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Mansfield Road near Jackman Road and Berdan Avenue, according to Toledo police. Two men assaulted the victim, demanded money, and fled, police said.
Jail records show the suspects were arrested within hours of the robbery: the first two at 9:19 p.m. Sunday at North Detroit and Foster avenues and the third at 11:08 p.m. at North Detroit and Palmwood Avenue.
