Three Ohio Highway Patrol troopers in northwest Ohio have been promoted to sergeant and assigned as assistant post commanders.

Troopers Joshua J. Bolduan, Jordan L. Schwochow, and Jason R. Metzger were promoted during ceremonies on Tuesday.

Sergeants Bolduan and Metzger, assigned to the Toledo post since 2010 and 2006, respectively, will remain at that post in their new capacities. Sergeant Bolduan worked at the Defiance and Swanton posts, while Sergeant Metzger’s previous postings were in Van Wert and Walbridge.

In 2008, then-Trooper Metzger received the Criminal Patrol award for having the most felony arrests among all Ohio state troopers.

Sergeant Schwochow is transferring from the Fremont post to become assistant commander at the Bowling Green post, where he started his patrol career in 2006.
