B.G. authorities seek cigarette thief

Bowling Green police say this man robbed the Circle K on North Prospect.

BOWLING GREEN — Police want to find the man who stole a carton of cigarettes from a gas station.

The man went into Circle K, 103 N. Prospect St., just after midnight Monday, and asked the clerk for two cartons of Newport 100 cigarettes. While the clerk was ringing up the purchase, the man grabbed the cigarettes and attempted to flee, although the clerk was able to take back one carton, police said.

The man fled with the cigarettes, valued at $61.42, and ran north on Prospect and then east on Court Street. He is described as black, bald, about 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
