Man sought in carryout holdups arrested

A Toledo man who eluded police capture for nearly a month was arrested Tuesday, officials said.

Leroy Alcorn, 24, whose last known address is 709 Prouty Ave., is charged with 13 counts of aggravated robbery with firearms specifications, four counts of kidnapping, and two counts of felonious assault. He was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury in June. Charges against the suspect were first filed in Toledo Municipal Court on June 19.

Alcorn’s co-defendant, DaJuan Willingham, 25, of 438 Southgate Circle Drive is charged with 10 counts of aggravated robbery with firearms specifications, two counts of felonious assault, and three counts of kidnapping. Charged with one count each of aggravated robbery and obstructing jus-tice was Ieasha Bates, 23, of 434 Southgate Circle Drive.

Prosecutors say the charges stem from holdups May 5 at Stop & Go, 1806 Arlington Ave.; May 9 at Stop & Go, 1901 Broadway St.; May 16 and June 10 at Stop & Go, 1409 Western Ave.; May 19 at Stop & Go, 1256 Broadway; May 26 at E-Z Mart, 1226 East Broadway; May 30 at Airport Stop, 3326 Airport Hwy.; June 1 at Cigarette Outlet of Toledo, 2620 Airport Hwy.; June 6 at Saveway Market Red & White, 1936 Broadway, and June 7 at In & Out Mart, 2425 Key St.

In some instances, employees were detained and robbed.
