NORTH BALTIMORE, Ohio -- Authorities today have identified Stevan Todorovic of Ontario as the truck driver injured Wednesday morning when his tractor-trailer went off State Rt. 18  and crashed into a gas pump at a filling station near I-75.

Mr. Todorovic, 59, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with “non-incapacitating” injuries, according to the Wood County Sheriff‘‍s Office. A hospital spokesman today said his condition was not listed.

The truck, registered to a Canadian company, went down a short embankment before crashing into a gas pump at Petro Stopping Center in the 12900 block of Deshler Road, just east of the I-75 interchange with Route 18, about 5:30 a.m. There was no fire and no other vehicles were involved.

The wrecked truck remained at the scene for several hours before it was removed by a  heavy-tow truck, during which time the filling station was closed to customers.

The crash remains under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’‍s Office.

North Baltimore is about 32 miles south of Toledo.
