3 people in serious condition after single-vehicle crash in Lake Township

MILLBURY - Three people were injured when a car crashed early Saturday on Walbridge Road in Lake Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.

Allison Leatherman of Walbridge and Jaime Adams and Andrew Heath, both of Millbury, were taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with serious injuries following the 2:59 a.m. crash east of Pemberville Road, troopers from the patrol’‍s Bowling Green post said.

The car, driven by Ms. Leatherman, 27, was eastbound when it went off the right side of the pavement, then veered across the roadway and struck a tree on the left side of the road before coming to rest against a parked car, troopers said. Ms. Heath, also 27 and riding in the front passenger seat, was ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Heath, for whom no age was listed, was riding in a rear seat and also was hurt.

The crash remained under investigation later Saturday. Lake Township emergency medical services and police, Walbridge police, and Northwood EMS assisted at the scene.
