A 3-year-old boy that fell from the stands at Steinecker Stadium in Perrysburg on Friday during an all-star football game appears to not have suffered any serious injuries, according to local officials.
The child, who is from Cincinnati, was released Saturday from ProMedica Toledo Children‘s Hospital, said Perysburg Schools Superintendent Tom Hosler. He did not appear to have life-threatening injuries when the Perrysburg fire and EMS crews tended to him, Perrysburg Fire Chief Jeff Klein said. They were dispatched to the scene at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Perrysburg Fire Department did not release the child’s name. According to the report, he fell about 20 feet from the bleacher at the beginning of the Northwest Ohio Regional All-Star Football game, which featured top area football players that just finished their senior year.
Superintendent Tom Hosler said the child is “lucky by all accounts.”
