About 16 hours before an anti-violence march through central Toledo, a man was shot along the route, police said.

Kareem Roberts, whose age was not available, told police he was in the parking lot of Robert‘s Food and Spirits bar, 2635 N. Detroit Ave., ‍talking to several women at 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he heard gunshots. He ran home and then realized he was bleeding from his right knee where ‍he‘d been shot, according to an incident report. ‍Instead of going to the hospital, the victim went to sleep. When he woke up he “realized he was still shot” and went to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in a private vehicle, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
