Man shot at his home, taken to hospital by helicopter

A Defiance man was taken by helicopter to a Toledo hospital tonight after apparently being shot in his home this afternoon.

Defiance Police said that officers responded at 4:22 p.m. to a residence in the 600 block of Bunn Drive for a report of a domestic disupte.

When officers arrived they found a woman leaving the residence and a man inside who had a gunshot wound to the chest.

Both the man and woman were taken to local hospitals by ambulance. The man was later taken by helicopter to Toledo. Information on their conditions was not available tonight.
