Suspect wearing blue hospital mask robbed store but did not show a weapon.
A West Toledo check-cashing business was robbed today, police said.
A man went into Check ‘n Go, 5200 Monroe St., at about 5:35 p.m., and robbed the store, according to initial reports. The suspect did not show a weapon, police said.
The man was carrying a black backpack and an orange hat. He also wore a “blue hospital mask,” police said.
On Tuesday, a man wearing a yellow “surgical mask” robbed Toledo Co-op Credit Union, 2422 Holland-Sylvania Rd., in Springfield Township. It was not immediately known if police believe the cases to be related, although no suspect was arrested in the Tuesday robbery.
Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
