Toledo police are asking for the public’s help in catching the person or people who shot dead a 16-year-old boy.

Tyler McIntoush was shot twice on July 24. He took one bullet to the head and another to a leg, said the Lucas County coroner, Dr. James Patrick. The youth was found dead on the sidewalk in front of 2957 Collingwood Blvd. at 3:19 a.m. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots, though none called 911. His body was found less than a half mile from his mother’s home on Collingwood.

The teenager was to start his junior year at Maritime Academy. Police have not commented on a possible motive.
