Police have arrested man in connection with Chez Joey shooting

Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a man outside a Toledo strip club early Thursday morning.

Keevon Johnson, 34, of Erie, Pa., was arrested late Thursday afternoon and is charged with murder, Toledo Police said.

He is accused of shooting Marcus Osley, 28, of Toledo, in front of Chez Joey, 715 Monroe St., at 12:55 a.m. 

Witnesses told police the club was filled with about 300 people for a Toledo versus Detroit stripper dance off.

Paramedics took Osley, 28, of Toledo to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:20 a.m., police said. Osley was shot twice; once in his torso and in an arm, said Dr. Maneesha Pandey, a Lucas County deputy coroner. Another man, Jackie Brown of Columbus, was wounded by a bullet that grazed his head. He was treated and released from the hospital, police said.
