A motorcyclist from Toledo was injured Friday night when he collided with a car at an intersection near the University of Toledo, city police said.

Kenneth Wyatt, 23, was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, following the 10:11 p.m. crash at Dorr Street and Byrne Road, police said. He was listed in critical condition Saturday night.

Police said he was eastbound on Dorr and started up when the light turned green. A westbound vehicle driven by Alan Parks, 20, of Detroit also started moving when the light changed and made a left turn toward Byrne and into Mr. Wyatt’s path, police said.

Mr. Wyatt, who did not wear a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle. Mr. Parks and a passenger, Elliot Free, 19, of Detroit were not injured, according to the report.

Police said alcohol did not appear to be a factor and no charges were immediately filed.
