An Oregon man who became “irate” with his mother allegedly drove his sport-utility vehicle at her before crashing into his mother’s home, police said.

Joseph Ryan, 20, of 5841 Corduroy Rd. was charged with vandalism and two counts of felonious assault. He was arraigned Monday in Toledo Municipal Court and ordered to remain in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $205,000 bond. According to affidavits, Mr. Ryan and his mother, Janice Nuncio, were arguing at 3735 Terrace Dr. on Friday when the argument escalated and the Ford Explorer came barreling toward Ms. Nuncio.

Police reported that the driving was so erratic that the SUV was crashed into the Terrace Drive home. No injuries were reported.
