Robberies of Subway, pizza deliverer probed

Toledo police are investigating two apparently unrelated robberies of food businesses.

Police reported that a man went into Subway, 1528 Broadway, in South Toledo, at 8:50 p.m. Monday and sprayed mace at a clerk. The suspect then jumped over the counter and took the cash drawer, police said. No suspect description was provided.

A driver for Marco’s was robbed while delivering pizza Monday night to 3343 Collingwood Blvd. Police said two suspects approached the driver, and one took the pizzas from the car. The other demanded money and the pizza. Suspect descriptions were not provided.

Police ask that anyone with information call the Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111.
