A Chicago-based band whose instruments and equipment were stolen last weekend took to social media Friday to thank Oregon police for cracking the case and finding their property.

“Here's a great big shout out to the Oregon, OH Police Division for doing a wonderful job in recovering our stolen band equipment. Thank you to all that were involved in helping out. Thanks to the detectives that worked so hard,” Euro Express wrote on Facebook.

A trailer used by the group was broken into while parked at an area hotel. The band had played at the German-American Festival. Details of how police found the equipment were not immediately available.

“A million blessings on the police of Oregon, Ohio,” said Mazurka Wojciechowska, accordionist of the band, who learned the news from band leader John Gunther. “I was elated because the accordion was not even all paid for. When we got robbed, I was really devastated, and I really liked the accordion too. You find an instrument you really like, and you play it and get used to it, and all of a sudden it gets wrenched away from you.’’
