Woman, 2 teens charged in vandalism of Bedford football field

MONROE — A Lambertville woman, her 16-year-old daughter, and a 17-year-old boy have been charged by the Monroe County Prosecutor's office with vandalizing the Bedford Community Stadium football field.

Julie Anne Baumgartner, 50, the daughter, and Daniel Rinckey, of Temperance were each charged with maliciously destroying or injuring trees, shrubs, grass, turf, plants, crops, or soil, a felony that carries up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

In addition, the mother is charged with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

They allegedly used grass killer to draw a 100-yard-long depiction of male genitalia on the turf at the stadium on Jackman Road.

Monroe County Prosecutor William Nichols said Ms. Baumgartner and the Rinckey youth are expected to be arraigned today in Monroe County District Court. A hearing has been scheduled in the Monroe County Youth Center for the girl.
