BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green police today charged a woman they said fabricated a reported assault and racial slur against her in the city.

Officers filed charges of falsification and obstructing official business against Eleesha Long, 24, of Bowling Green following a reported dispute Nov. 9 in the 200 block of Crim Street. They said an investigation determined this did not occur.

Ms. Long told authorities three men approached her on the sidewalk, yelled at her, and threw rocks at her. One man struck her in the face, she said, according to police.

She was released from police custody. When contacted by The Blade, Ms. Long declined to comment.
