Sylvania Twp., police agree on contract

Sylvania Township trustees and township police units have agreed to a new contract that includes raises for the next three years. All that remains is for the documents to be proofread and signed.

Police command officers, patrol officers, and civilian employees will see raises of 3 percent this year, 3 percent in 2018, and 2 percent in 2019, township human resources director Susan Wood said.

All units are represented by the Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association.

Negotiations continue with township firefighters and road department staff.
