OVI checkpoints slated for Bowling Green, Jerusalem Twp.

BOWLING GREEN — The Ohio Highway Patrol is staging a checkpoint late today for impaired drivers.

Law enforcement officers will stop motorists from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of East Wooster Street in Bowling Green.

Additional enforcement will take place on nearby roads. A federal grant is funding the checkpoint.

As previously announced, law enforcement officials will hold four checkpoints for impaired drivers today in Jerusalem Township.

The Lucas County OVI Task Force will conduct the enforcement from 8 p.m. today through 1 a.m. Saturday at 331 N. Curtice Road, 20 S. Yondota Road, 56 N. Howard Road, and 9501 Jerusalem Road.

Funding is provided by a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration grant.
