A woman remains in serious condition following a two-vehicle crash on Fulton-Lucas County Line Road and West Sylvania Avenue in Richfield Township, according to the State Highway Patrol.

Teresa Oneil, 59, was transported by air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition, troopers said.

The driver of the second vehicle, Richard Lair, 34, was taken to ProMedica Flower Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. He was later released, according to the patrol.

Ms. Oneil was traveling eastbound on West Sylvania Avenue, approaching Fulton-Lucas County Line Road shortly after 8 a.m. She failed to yield the right of way, and her vehicle was struck by Mr. Lair’s vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Fulton-Lucas County Line Road, troopers said.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Assisting the patrol were the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County EMS, Metamora Fire Department, Richfield Township Fire Department, and Spencer Township Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.
