Law enforcement officials urge drivers use extra caution while traveling this Thanksgiving holiday.

During last year’s Thanksgiving weekend, nine people died in nine crashes on Ohio roads, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Troopers will increase patrol for the holiday. They urge motorists wear seat belts, obey traffic laws, and not drive while impaired.

An estimated 50.9 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles from home this Thanksgiving, according to AAA.
