HOUCKTOWN, Ohio — Relatives have identified a man and a woman found dead in a Hancock County mobile home fire.

An obituary names Katherine Bernot, 26, and her partner, Craig Brown, 24, as those killed during the blaze Sunday in Jackson Township.

Firefighters responded about 2 a.m. to the 15000 block of County Road 26. The victims were found inside the residence after firefighters extinguished the fire.

The obituary, published by Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, lists Ms. Bernot as a 2009 graduate of Findlay High School, and later Owens Community College. Mr. Brown attended Cory-Rawson High School.

Hancock County Coroner Dr. Mark Fox declined to confirm the victims’ names until matched by dental records.

County officials and the state fire marshal are investigating.
