Deer freed after breaking into apartment

McCOMB — It wasn’t a typical start of the day for residents in a McComb, Ohio, apartment.

Just before 8 a.m., the McComb Police Department received a call about two deer jumping through the glass of an apartment located on East Main Street, the agency reported.

Both deer were trapped inside the apartment, but the animals were secured in a room until the Ohio Division of Wildlife arrived on scene, according to police. McComb Fire Department also assisted police on scene.

The deer were released from the apartment, and no one was injured during the incident.
