2 charged following Findlay drug search warrant

FINDLAY — Two Findlay residents are charged with drug-related offenses after the Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Tuesday at their home. 

Ronald Hernandez, 58, and Bonnie Vandeneynde, 45, both of the 200 block of Ely Avenue, were arrested and taken to the Hancock County jail, according to a media release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Mr. Hernandez is charged with possession of crack cocaine while Ms. Vandeneynde is charged with possession of methamphetamine, both fifth-degree felonies. 

The drug task force, with the assistance of the Findlay Police Department Emergency Response Team, executed the search warrant at the Ely Avenue home at just after 7 p.m. Tuesday. The search of the residence yielded crack cocaine, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other items indicative of drug trafficking, officials said. 

A second search of a separate residence was executed at approximately 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment in the 2200 block of Jennifer Lane. 

This search yielded crack cocaine, suspected fentanyl, cash, drug paraphernalia, and items indicative of drug trafficking, officials said.
