  • A South Toledo man was arrested after a woman said he threatened her with a knife and raped her June 15 in East Toledo, according to an affidavit filed in Toledo Municipal Court.

Nathaniel L. Stewart, 29, of the 1600 block of Brownstone Boulevard, is charged with rape, a first-degree felony.

He is accused of grabbing a woman off the street and forcing her at knife point to the rear of a nearby yard. She told police he threw her to the ground and raped her there — threatening to kill her if she didn’t stop screaming, according to the affidavit.

Mr. Stewart was identified by photo array, court documents show.

Toledo police arrested Mr. Stewart Friday and booked him in Lucas County Jail.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Toledo Municipal Court.
