Poll workers needed in Lucas County for May vote

3/26/2010

The Lucas County Board of Elections needs poll workers for the May 4 primary election.

Volunteers must have no felony convictions and have reliable transportation.

They also must complete a three-hour training class, for which they get paid $15.

Poll workers must meet at the polling location the night of May 3 for about an hour and be at the polls by 6 a.m. May 4.

A regular poll worker's pay is $120; presiding judges are paid $135. Those interested must be registered either as Democrats or Republicans. The former should call the Democratic booth official at 419-213-2640, and the latter should call the Republican booth official at 419-213-2630.
