Mitt Romney's presidential campaign will stop in Toledo next week when the presumptive Republican nominee appears at a five-figure fund-raising luncheon at the Toledo Club, The Blade learned Thursday.

Supporters may donate $10,000 per couple to appear with the former Massachusetts governor during a VIP photo reception at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, or pay $50,000 per person to attend the photo event and a noon luncheon.

Chris Maloney, Ohio spokesman for Mr. Romney's campaign, confirmed the appearance, but declined to say what the event's fund-raising goal is. The event is Mr. Romney's first Toledo fund-raiser since a local appearance he made during his primary campaign in February.

President Obama, meanwhile, is to bring his re-election campaign back to Ohio with a stop in Cincinnati. Details of that trip, which will be the Democratic incumbent's eighth Ohio visit this year and 24th since taking office, remain to be announced.
