2 minority-owned firms in area to receive aid

Two minority-owned businesses in Lucas County will receive financial aid from Ohio’s Development Services Agency to help the businesses grow.

Let’s Play School Family Child Care LLC is getting a $70,000 Minority Direct Loan to purchase a former church at 3445 Manhattan Blvd., to which the firm plans to relocate in order to become a full-service child-care center.

American Flooring Installers LLC will have its bonding line increased to $1 million from a previous $700,000 so that it can become a general contractor and expand its service territory to Michigan and the Cleveland area. The company provides flooring products and installation services to businesses throughout northwest Ohio.
