Swearing-in ceremonies are to be held this week in the Perrysburg area.

Tuesday night Jim Matuszak, Rick Rettig, and Barry Van Hoozen will be sworn in during their first city council meeting at 6:30 p.m. It also will be Mayor Mike Olmstead’s first one as mayor; he has been a councilman for eight years.

Mr. Olmstead, 49, is president of Performance of Pain Physical Therapy in Perrysburg. His position pays $28,000 in 2014.

On Wednesday night Bob Mack and Gary Britten will be sworn for another term during the first Perrysburg Township trustee meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Molly Mack, Mr. Mack’s wife and new Perrysburg Municipal judge, will conduct the ceremony.

The board of election has its turn Thursday night. Sue Larimer and Cal Smith start their first terms on the board, while Gretchen Downs will be sworn in for the fourth time after her re-election.

The Perrysburg Board of Education meeting is to start at 5:30 p.m and mostly will focus on interviewing applicants for a board opening.
