Royals beat Walleye in shootout

Austen Brassard, pictured in a game earlier this season, scored a goal for the Toledo Walleye Wednesday in a 4-3 shootout loss to Reading.

READING, Pa. — The Toledo Walleye lost to the Reading Royals 4-3 in a shootout on Wednesday night. 

The Royals took a 2-0 at 6:48 of the second. 

Reading took a 3-0 lead with a power-play goal at 11:19 of the second. Davis Vandane scored to cut Reading’s lead to 3-1 at 13:13 of the second.

Austen Brassard pulled the Walleye within a goal at 19:01 of the third. Mike Borkowski tied the game at 19:49.
