The percentage of mortgage loans in the Toledo area that were at least 90 days delinquent dropped slightly in January, according to California-based CoreLogic.

The percentage dropped from 5.96 percent in December to 5.9 percent in January. A year earlier, the rate was 6.69 percent.

January was the fourth consecutive month the rate was below 6 percent. Before October, it hadn’t been below 6 percent since April, 2009.

Statewide, almost 6.5 percent of mortgage loans were 90 days delinquent; nationally, the rate was 6.34 percent.
