Lucas Co. real estate tax
 bills mailed this week

Real estate tax bills are going out to Lucas County property owners this week, Wade Kapszukiewicz, county treasurer, said Thursday. The taxes are expected to generate $240 million.

Mailed payments must be postmarked on or before July 31 to avoid a late penalty.

Taxes also can be paid at the Lucas County Treasurer’s office on the fifth floor of One Government Center in downtown Toledo, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Many local banks also will take payments. Cash, checks, and money orders are accepted.
