The city of Perrysburg economic development committee at 5 p.m. Wednesday will examine the downtown Perrysburg renovation plan, which will include construction of a roundabout at Front Street and Louisiana Avenue.

The committee could vote to recommend the $2.3 million plan to the city council. More than 60 people attended a recent open house and were sharply divided on the issue: Some opposed a roundabout, some were concerned about the cost, and some supported the project.

Perrysburg City Council typically meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building. But because of a lighter summer schedule the council will not meet this Tuesday. The council goes back to its regular meeting times in September.

Also Tuesday the Perrysburg Township Board of Zoning Appeals canceled its meeting because of a lack of agenda. The panel meets next at 6 p.m Sept. 16.
