It’s no secret that college costs are on the rise. Costs have grown much, much faster than inflation. According to The College Board®, the average 2011-2012 tuition increase was 4.5 percent at private colleges, and a whopping 8.3 percent at public universities. For those who enrolled in 2011, the projected four-year cost for tuition and fees at a private college was $124,700. Those same costs at a public university for an in-state student were $36,100. For children born this year, those costs are projected to be $355,900 and $102,900, respectively. And that doesn’t include room and board, books, supplies, and transportation. With those costs, how in the world can the average person send their child to college? However, the company has expanded far beyond its original recliners to encompass motion furniture such as lift chairs and reclining sofas; stationary upholstered furniture, including sofas, loveseats, and sleepers; and everything else you need to complete your home’s style.
