George Daily, a resident of Marian Place in Monroe, Mich., prays the rosary in front of a traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima. The Virgin Mary statue was one of 25 shipped to the United States in 1954 by the Rev. James Mary Keane after he visited Fatima, Portugal, where an apparition of Mary was reported by three women in 1917. It will be at Marian Place independent living facility for senior citizens, 408 West Front St., through Tuesday.
