Church fund awards grants to local nonprofits
10/15/2010Zion Lutheran Church Sunday will mark the awarding of $96,075 in grants to 20 area nonprofit agencies through the church's Mission Endowment Fund.
Among the grants are $9,000 to ISOH/IMPACT for its disaster-relief warehouse and distribution center; $7,500 to Mobile Meals of Toledo, and $5,900 to the Special Commission on Relief and Education for medical supplies used in disaster-response mission trips.
Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus will receive $11,300 for student aid. Zion's Mission Endowment Fund has awarded $669,600 to regional, national, and global nonprofit organizations since it began the grants program in 2005.
