St. Timothy’s schedules Schubert performance

Canterbury Singers USA are to join St. Timothy’s Choir for morning Eucharist and a performance of the Schubert Mass in G Sunday at 10 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 871 East Boundary St., Perrysburg.

James Metzler, organist and choirmaster of Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo, is to direct, and Lyle Hecklinger is to be the organist. Schubert wrote the Sacred Mass in 1815 at age 17.

The performance is to be the first in a new music series, St. Tim’s Discovers, which seeks to bring to the community’s attention the talent and creativity of Toledo-area musicians and groups. Information is available at 419-874-5704 or saint-timothy.net.
