The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance has put up its first billboard to advertise its spring conference taking place Wednesday through Friday at Warren AME Church, 915 Collingwood Ave. The billboard is at the intersection of Detroit and Bancroft streets.

The conference theme is “reclaiming our community through proclamation,” and worship services are at 7 each evening.

Preachers are the Rev. Jamal Bryant, pastor of Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, and the Rev. Edward Branch pastor of Third New Hope Baptist Church in Detroit.

A community choir will sing in the services. Other events, also at Warren AME, are a workshop on exegesis led by Pastor Branch on Thursday at 5 p.m. and a community health fair and free dinner Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Alliance president the Rev. Cedric Brock of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church said, “I’m going to get spiritually revived on a higher level as far as seeing the community go higher; blacks, whites, browns, and yellows coming together; and seeing our community move in the right direction.”

The alliance is a group of about 40 congregations.
