Park Lane Retirement, 142 23rd, inspected Oct. 21. Critical violations: Ribs cooling for 1 1/2 hours are at 76 degrees in covered container. Product was transferred to 2-inch shallow pans to cool uncovered in walk-in cooler. Do not cool hot foods in covered containers. Provide multi-use food grade containers for food storage; do not reuse food containers for food storage. Inspector: Debbie Dacquisto.

EOPA Head Start, Payne Church, 209 King, inspected Oct. 21. Critical violations: Provide point thermometers for reach-in cooler to ensure proper holding temperatures. Provide metal stem (probe) thermometer to ensure proper hot holding temperatures. Inspector: Sanders.
Highland Elementary, 7720 Erie, Sylvania, inspected Oct. 27. Critical violations: Single-use utensils exposed on buffet line a time of inspection. To protect disposable forks and spoons from contamination, keep in a clean/sanitized container with handles facing upwards to protecting the food contact surface from having hand contact. Apples were being washed in the handsink at time of inspection. Provide a food prep sink with a 2-inch air gap for vegetable/fruit washing. Contact building inspectors for installation and permits. Seafood Restaurant, 5504 West Alexis, inspected Oct. 27. Critical violation: Corned beef observed thawing at room temperature. All frozen food must be properly thawed under refrigerator or under cold running water in food sink to prevent bacterial growth on surface. Inspector: Baroudi
Whiteford Elementary School, 4708 Whiteford, Sylvania, inspected Oct. 27. Critical violation: Thawing lunch meat in refrigerator had no date-marking at time of inspection. All potentially hazardous foods must be properly date-marked with the date the food was prepared or manufacturers seal broken, the food is safe until the 7th day if kept at 41 degrees or less. Lunchtime Grill, 1946 13th, inspected Oct. 13. Critical violations: Date-mark all potentially hazardous foods that is being held longer than 24 hours. Foods being held at 42-45 degrees can be held four days, for coolers at 41 degrees or less, foods can be held up to seven days which includes the day prepared or opened. Inspector: Dacquisto.
