6 more retailers declare for Fallen Timbers

7/4/2007

Six more retailers have revealed their intentions to join the $125 million Shops at Fallen Timbers mall project in Maumee. All have stores in the Toledo market.

Clothing retailers American Eagle and Aeropostale, shoe stores Journeys and Payless, Osterman Jewelers, and coffee chain Starbucks recently filed site plans with the city building inspection office. Also, Granite City Food & Brewery, a Minneapolis brewpub chain that had announced it is coming to the project, has filed a site plan.

The additions bring to 35 the number of announced retailers in the project off U.S. 24 west of I-475/U.S. 23. The developer, General Growth Properties Inc., of Chicago, has said the village-like retail center will open Oct. 3 with 90 shops and restaurants.
