RadioShack is closing 2 Toledo locations
3/21/2017FORT WORTH — RadioShack, which last week filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the second time in just over two years, has released in a court filing the locations of 552 stores it plans to close and its two Toledo stores are on the list.
The stores are at 821 W. Alexis Rd. and 3325 Secor Rd. A store on Oak Harbor Road in Fremont also will be closed. The closings will be in two waves, with 187 shutting immediately and 365 gone by the first week of April, according to the Texas-based electronics chain.
RadioShack is based in Fort Worth and has nearly 5,900 employees. After this latest round of closings Radio Shack will have about 1,000 stores remaining, with none in northwest Ohio and just one, in Monroe, in southeast Michigan’s southern counties.
