SPORTS NOTE

Sylvania Recreation, in conjunction with the Northwest District Football Officials Association, is offering a class for all those interested in becoming an Ohio high school football official. The course is mandatory for anyone interested in becoming a high school football official in Ohio.

The course will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Thursday, July 16 and run for 11 sessions. Classes will be held at the Sylvania Recreation offices in Tam-O-Shanter at 7060 Sylvania Ave. in Sylvania. Registration cost is $130.00, which includes classroom and on-field instruction, rules books and state registration fee. FOOTBALL CAMP: Central Catholic High School will host an instructional football camp on campus at Gallagher Stadium tomorrow through Friday, from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
