Perrysburg High student Ashley Timpe watches classmates make tie-dye shirts as she talks about the '60s in the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco. She was part of the 'Courage to Change' progrram at the school recently; it was sponsored by the school's humanities class of 2009.

Judith Pruchno, wife and daughter of Holocaust camp survivors during World War II and a survivor of a Nazi-occupied Romania, speaks to the audience. Her husband, Sam Pruchno, seated, also a survivor, displayed artwork relating to the Holocaust.

Students Amanda Haskins, from left, Lindsey Huff, and Bethany Hutchison present a skit on women's role in the '50s.
